VBO-FEB
16 & 17 November 2025
We shot for 36 hours… in 24.
On 16 and 17 November, Melting Prod was on site at YTiA XXL in Brussels, powered by VBO–FEB.
After Ghent and Wavre earlier in the month, this XXL edition brought together hundreds of 17–18-year-olds: a 24-hour hackathon, FR & NL sessions, meetings with entrepreneurs and business leaders… and a solid dose of inspiration to help them build their future.
Our mission?
Cover a two-part programme… running in parallel.
The operational headache
- A non-stop 24-hour hackathon, from Sunday 2:00 p.m. to Monday 2:00 p.m.
- From Monday 8:00 a.m., while the hackathon was still ongoing: FR/NL sessions until the closing at 2:00 p.m.
In practice?
- Sometimes a single photographer on site
- Sometimes three working simultaneously
- In total, 36 hours of content to capture, compressed into a 24-hour marathon
And in the middle of all that: live delivery.
Delivering images while the event was still happening.
Not afterwards.
Not “when we get the time”.
Live.
The result?
- More than 2,000 photos delivered before the end of the event
- Participants able to share their moments immediately
- A tired team… but clearly proud to have risen to the challenge
A big congratulations to the entire VBO–FEB team for organising such a great event.
At Melting Prod, shooting a large event is one thing.
Shooting and delivering in real time is another.
Got an event to cover?
We don’t just shoot.
